CARE TIPS, ON HAND

Caring for
Your MIKO+

Your MIKO+ piece is crafted to last, but like all silver, it evolves with time. Natural oxidation may darken its surface due to exposure to air, moisture, or even the pH of your skin. This is a completely normal process and doesn’t affect its function—just a part of silver’s character.

To keep your MIKO+ looking its best, a little care goes a long way. Here’s how to maintain its shine and performance for years to come.

STANDARD CARE

Storage & Everyday Care

  • Keep it dry & protected – Store your MIKO+ in a dry, dark place, like a closed box or the silk pouch provided. You can leave the moisture-absorbing sachet inside to slow oxidation.

  • Prevent scratches – Store each piece separately to avoid friction with other metals.

  • Polish regularly – Use a silver cleaning cloth or soft microfiber to remove fingerprints and buildup that may accelerate oxidation. A quick polish keeps it bright.

Deep Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Use silver cleaning solutions – If your piece loses its luster, dip it in a dedicated silver-cleaning solution following the instructions, rinse thoroughly, and dry completely.

  • For moving forms: Proper drying is key. After rinsing, leave your MIKO+ in a warm, dry place so any trapped water inside the rolling elements can evaporate. Placing it on a textile pad on a radiator can help speed up the process.

  • Final touch: After drying, polish with a silver-cleaning cloth or microfiber for a perfect finish.

When to Remove Your MIKO+

To prevent unnecessary wear and oxidation:

  • Take it off before bathing, swimming, or sleeping.

  • Avoid contact with harsh chemicals like detergents, perfumes, hairsprays, and cosmetics.

Rolling elements are crafted from 925 sterling silver and designed to move smoothly. Over time, you may notice a subtle metallic sound when rolling—this doesn’t affect functionality, but if you’d prefer a quieter experience, you can apply a safe lubricant.

CARING FOR ROTATING FORMS

  • • Apply a small amount of lubricant at the connection point of the rolling element and the band.
    • Use a fine-tip applicator, lubricating needle, or pipette for precision.
    • Wipe off any excess with a soft, dry cloth.

  • If your piece has come into contact with water — whether during cleaning or daily wear — proper drying is essential to prevent oxidation, especially at the connection points of rolling elements.

    • Gently wipe the surface with a soft cloth to remove excess moisture.
    • Place your MIKO+ in a warm, dry place to allow any trapped water inside the rolling elements to evaporate.
    • For faster drying, you can place it on a textile pad on a radiator (avoid direct contact with hard surfaces to prevent scratches).
    • Once fully dry, polish it with a silver-cleaning cloth or microfiber to restore its shine.
